The 2024 Life for Life Gala was a remarkable evening filled with generosity, celebration, and unwavering support for Projeto Sertão Vivo. This annual fundraising event, now in its 7th edition, brought together a passionate community dedicated to making a lasting impact on those in need.

A Record-Breaking Night

Thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, donors, and attendees, this year’s gala successfully raised a total of 44,814 CAD. These funds will directly contribute to Projeto Sertão Vivo, ensuring continued efforts to empower and uplift vulnerable communities.

Here’s a breakdown of the contributions:

• Donations Raised: 22,950 CAD
• Sponsorships: 24,500 CAD
• Raffles: 3,690 CAD
• Auction: 3,400 CAD
• Ticket Sales: 13,814 CAD
• Total Funds Raised: 44,814 CAD
• Event Costs: 21,864 CAD

By purchasing your ticket, you will be eligible to win any of these prizes, as well as assisting BrazilFest in promoting Brazilian culture and providing relief to those affected by the floods in Pernambuco, Brazil

Brazilfest will donate a portion of the proceeds from the campaign to the Life for Lives project.

The city of Recife has suffered a natural catastrophe in the last two weeks. 100’s of families have lost their homes, cars, and businesses due to this flood. Schools have been completely flooded. Shelters and Daycares have lost their school, food, and resources to help families in extreme poverty. Life for Lives and Brazilfest join forces to raise funds  to support local organizations that need our help!
